Shattered, stacked, inverted, blunt and scrunched, there are so many choices . And the bob is in no danger of going out of style anytime soon; making the list of top 20 hottest hairstyles of the year we can surly count on it as a fashion icon of hair.
The bob originated during World War 1 when women were joining the work force and gaining independence. They no longer had time for pin curls and the undos that were so time consuming so the chopping began and it has yet to stop . Of course just like with any hair cut there are guidelines to follow with the bob as well. So if your thinking of joining the many others who have decided on this choice of hairstyle, here are a few tips: Face shape and hair texture are two of the most important things to take into consideration when thinking about doing the BoB hairstyle. It is recommended that for rounder faces, longer bobs and if you are one of those women blessed with a great jawline and cheek bones a shorter bob (at chin length) can be worn. For hair texture the thinner hair can use the stacked bob to get more out of the look , and for those with a bit of curl in their hair it's recommended to shatter the bob with some layers that way you have options for wear in either the scrunch look or you can smooth and straighten them. Of course anyone that has a bob of any kind must also have a hair straightener of some kind as well. Goes without saying. I have decided after years of having short hair I am going to make a real attempt to grow my hair out into a bob. I have had a pixie for quite a while now and it's going to be a long road but one I am willing to travel, because of all the versatility the hairstyle has and I am ready to have some longer hair around my round face. I will blog you through my journey.
