Thanks to Queen B and countless other celebs in the news lately couples breaking up over cheating has been a hot topic for discussion. So comes the age old question that has a different answer depending on who you ask of course is it necessary to come clean when you've cheated. And if you do come clean and ask forgiveness, should you be forgiven???
Well that depends on alot of factors of course. One being the relationship in question, is it worth the trouble. Are there kids involved? Better yet will he/she do it again and lastly will they tell you the WHOLE truth or just enough to keep them covered in case you get wind of it later on down the road. Cheating happens so often these days and most of the time it happens between people in the workplace. Mainly because they are around each other so much and they feel like they CONNECT differntly and on a better wave length. Alot of times it happens when people at home are unhappy and looking for attention in the wrong places. It makes you wonder how someone couldn't be happy with someone like Beyonce. But in reality you never know what is going on in their mind. Sometimes they do it because they just want the extra attention and when they get the extra attention they don't know how to keep it at arms length. Whatever they're reasons are just know, cheaters are typically never going to tell the truth about their part. And if the opportunity comes up again, no matter what hell they went through convincing you that it would never happen again, it will happen again. And you should know the truth, the whole truth, not just the bits and pieces that make it sound like it happened once when it went on for 5 years. And don't fall into the trap of hating the other person involved, because last time I checked having sex with someone usually takes two people. No matter what you decide, just remember what your mom always said "a zebra can't change its stripes". So if your given a bunch of sour lemons, and your trying desperatly to make lemonade with them but it just is too sour to drink or too many seeds you just can't seem to make it go down. Don't drink it!!!

Shattered, stacked, inverted, blunt and scrunched, there are so many choices . And the bob is in no danger of going out of style anytime soon; making the list of top 20 hottest hairstyles of the year we can surly count on it as a fashion icon of hair.
The bob originated during World War 1 when women were joining the work force and gaining independence. They no longer had time for pin curls and the undos that were so time consuming so the chopping began and it has yet to stop . Of course just like with any hair cut there are guidelines to follow with the bob as well. So if your thinking of joining the many others who have decided on this choice of hairstyle, here are a few tips: Face shape and hair texture are two of the most important things to take into consideration when thinking about doing the BoB hairstyle. It is recommended that for rounder faces, longer bobs and if you are one of those women blessed with a great jawline and cheek bones a shorter bob (at chin length) can be worn. For hair texture the thinner hair can use the stacked bob to get more out of the look , and for those with a bit of curl in their hair it's recommended to shatter the bob with some layers that way you have options for wear in either the scrunch look or you can smooth and straighten them. Of course anyone that has a bob of any kind must also have a hair straightener of some kind as well. Goes without saying. I have decided after years of having short hair I am going to make a real attempt to grow my hair out into a bob. I have had a pixie for quite a while now and it's going to be a long road but one I am willing to travel, because of all the versatility the hairstyle has and I am ready to have some longer hair around my round face. I will blog you through my journey. This is for sure a customer service industry. And one in particular that is very much dependent on how well we please our client with our services that we offer. We don't get but few chances if any to mess up before we have lost the for good. However, the old usual stand by that the customer is always right cannot always apply in our industry in many situations, it's just up to us to have the voice, knowledge and professionalism to know how and when to put our foot down.
There are certain times when a customer comes in with a scheduled service on the books which you have scheduled around, for example a all over hair color. When in fact they have bleached ends when they arrive therefore needing a filler first and then an all over color which would in fact be a double process. Now at this point you have two choices and this is where your professionalism, skills and customer service skills all come in to play. A lot of things have to be taken into consideration but the conversation has to be had with this customer that they need a double process and were only booked for one. Before you have this talk you need to decide can you squeeze her secoud in, do you want to try, will they be worth the trouble, will it turn into a nightmare, should she be rescheduled. There will be other times when a customer comes in and has scheduled for one service and wants to be lightened several levels up from what they are and then may need to be toned after. That's a time you would have to advise them they may have to come back for toner or get some lighten today and come back a few days later after some conditioning treatments to finish because of the damage of their hair. Those are just brief examples of when you have to let the customer know you have their best interest in mind when you tell them that things cannot happen in the time frame by which they would like for them to. Whether it has to do with scheduling or chemical reasons it's up to you to make sure that the customer leaves with the same amount of hair on their scalp as they left. A lot of the time the customer is not used to hearing no, especially from someone they are about to pay money to, but it's a necessity in this business that you not be afraid to say no when you need to say no. Don't let a pushy customer talk you into anything you are not comfortable with, because in the end it's your name and your work going out on their head walking around . And a semi bald head with scabs on it from chemical burns is not very good advertisement for any of us. There is a relationship between you and your stylist, it's bound by trust like no other. Its intimate and dependent on communication as like no other except perhaps maybe within the sanctity of marriage. While in the stylists chair we offer you our very best selves and our creativity flows with the gift of your faith in us......
That's the way we want it to always be between you as our muse and us the creator, but a lot of the time things go wrong. Sometimes the communication is lacking, sometimes the voice descriptive does not match what pictured in the mind. Through doing my media piece for Beacon I have come to realize that the Beauty Industry has ALOT of power. It controls how we think about ourselves, how we think about other people and how we perceive the cosmetics and other beauty/hair products we buy.
And HAIR.....I remember when I was in high school and the girls that were not so pretty in the 8th grade, by the 11th grade they had grown their hair long then suddenly they were the cats meow. Same face, same not so pretty girls that had maybe matured some into their bodys but for the most part it was the hair that was the difference. I know this from my own experience as well, trying to copy what everyone else was wearing at the time in the 90s, the long hair up high in the front and the sides with all the hair spray, when after a bitter break up with a boyfriend decided to spite him and cut my hair short. And everyone loved it. Because it fit my face, I have not tryed to grow long hair since. I have worn extensions a time or two but never gone through the torture of growing out my hair when I know now that my hair looks better short. Hair can transform someone instantly. Simple highlights, hairpainting, just a little darker color to fill some bad highlights and some bangs that would help hide a huge forhead. Not just the coloring of hair but the shape and the texture. Even parting your hair differntly can make a change for a day that may make you realize you want to keep it that way for a while. An up do can fix a bad hair day. Hide a bad tight perm till it loosens up on longer hair. Its an amazing force to rekon with and an amazing process to take part in as well. You have to love the process and have a passion and creative eye for the things that are sometimes not obvious and sometimes are. If you have ever heard a woman say shes having a bad hair day, take it to heart. Because bad hair that is not fixed can cause the whole day to feel like you have a pile of crap sitting on your shoulders. And thats because you feel like you literally do. And if you don't know the tricks to fix it ask your Beautician next time you are with her. She will let you know some secret tricks of the trade. Because she can't always be with you carrying a can of hairspray and a teasecomb (although it would be nice).. |
